American singer-songwriter Barrett Strong passed away on January 29 at the age of 81, according to the Motown Records museum on Twitter.
Strong began his work in 1959, at the end of which he recorded the song Money (That’s What I Want), which is considered a rock classic. It was performed by The Beatles and The Rolling Stones. In 2011, Rolling Stone ranked the song #294 of the 500 Greatest Songs of All Time.
