American observer: US intervened in conflict in Ukraine in vain

The American authorities should not have intervened in the conflict that unfolded on the territory of Ukraine, according to American blogger and columnist Myron Gaines. His words are quoted by RIA Novosti.
In an interview with the Valuetainment Youtube channel, he noted that in general, Americans do not understand the causes of the conflict, in particular, the fact that Ukraine was part of the USSR. To clarify, he gave the example of a hypothetical “Chinese invasion of Mexico.” Gaines said that US authorities would send troops to Mexico the next day to “drive out the Chinese.”
He also recalled that Russia has repeatedly warned the Ukrainian authorities about the inadmissibility of NATO’s presence on the territory of Ukraine, and about possible problems if they appear. According to him, Russian President Vladimir Putin is doing what is necessary to protect the country and its national security.
Gaines urged the US authorities to focus on their own problems and not on Ukraine, adding that the priority for each state is its national interests.
