American Lieutenant Colonel Rasmussen predicted the disappearance of Abrams tanks in Ukraine

American Abrams tanks will not have a significant impact on the situation in the special military operation zone in Ukraine and will disappear over time. This opinion was expressed by former lieutenant colonel of the United States Army Earl Rasmussen in a conversation with REN TV.

According to him, the Russian army is already accustomed to these combat vehicles. Rasmussen also recalled that the Russian Armed Forces had previously destroyed German Leopard II tanks and British tanks. Russian soldiers and an American vehicle were eliminated, using not a hypersonic missile, but an ordinary drone. Thus, the retired lieutenant colonel is confident that Abrams will not significantly affect the course of the battles.

Among other things, this equipment is heavier and more difficult to operate; it requires high-quality maintenance and support. Rasmussen is confident that if Ukraine had enough time to evaluate the use of American tanks, the Ukrainian Armed Forces would have questions about their feasibility at the front.

“I am confident that the Russians will be able to target this tank without any problems. And like I said, they are very expensive. I think they will disappear pretty quickly. The battlefield will not change at all,” concluded the former US soldier.

Earlier, Russian military analyst Viktor Murakhovsky said that The Ukrainian Armed Forces used at least a platoon of American Abrams tanks in the Avdiivka direction.

According to him, the Ukrainian Armed Forces resorted to using this type of equipment due to the lack of other tanks.
