American engineers proposed to grow mushroom houses on Mars

Engineers from an American architecture firm working with NASA have offered to develop technologies to create houses on Mars from mushrooms and algae. It is assumed that such buildings can become a home for earthlings if a scientific base or colony is created on Mars.
Algae are proposed to be mixed with mycelium and sent to Mars, and then using special robots to add carbon dioxide, nitrogen and water, also delivered from Earth, to the mixture. It also offers ways to give the mushrooms the desired shape.
It is assumed that the houses will be stronger than concrete and effectively protect against cosmic radiation.
