American coach Brandon Bovey will leave Avangard Omsk.
This was reported by Sport-Express journalist Mikhail Zislis in his telegram channel.
“It is likely that the 42-year-old American will remain in Russia. With his solid reputation and extensive experience (11 seasons and 6 clubs in the KHL), it will not be difficult for him to find a new team of a serious level, ”Zislis expressed his opinion.
He also suggested that now Bovi could go to Kazan, where he had already worked with Zinetula Bilyaletdinov, or to St. Petersburg.
There is no official confirmation of this information. In Omsk Avangard, Bovi worked for five seasons as a physical training coach.
Earlier we published an interview with him, where Bovi compared the preparation for the season in the KHL and the NHL and shared the secret of working with athletes.
Also we reportedthat the Avangard hockey club sent an appeal to FHR President Vladislav Tretiak and KHL President Alexei Morozov with a request to evaluate the words of agents about the team captain.
