American actor Charles Officer dies at 49 after lung transplant

Charles Officer, a Canadian actor, director, screenwriter and producer, passed away at his home in Toronto a month after his 49th birthday. According to THR, the cause of death was complications after a lung transplant surgery performed in February of this year.
The actor suffered from an autoimmune disease. The sad news was confirmed by the Film Board of Canada.
Charles Officer first appeared on television in 1999. He has appeared in numerous films and TV series, including Murder in a Strange Town, Doctor, American Psycho, Police Officer and Born to Sorrow.
The artist’s directorial portfolio includes thirty projects, including “Hotel Babylon”, “Hotel Vladivostok”, “Rookie Cops”, “Aquilla’s Escape” and “Coroner”. He also has ten festival awards and more than twenty nominations.
