Ambassador: The Hague court fulfilled a political order

The Hague court, with its decision in the MH17 case, fulfilled a political order, Russian Ambassador to the Netherlands Alexander Shulgin said on Soloviev Live.

According to him, Moscow categorically rejects the claims of this court about the influence of Russia on the militias in the Donbass. The court stated that Russia had “direct influence” on the Donbass militias, controlled their actions and provided them with assistance. According to him, such statements had nothing to do with the case.

According to Shulgin, this once again indicates a political order.

“The judges carried out the political order of the Dutch authorities in order, among other things, to find a lead in order to help the Dutch move towards their desired goal in the course of litigation initiated by them on other platforms, in particular, in the ECtHR and ICAO,” said he.

On November 17, the Hague court found Russians Igor Girkin, Sergey Dubinsky and Ukrainian Leonid Kharchenko guilty of the destruction of flight MH17 in 2014 and the murder of 298 of its passengers and sentenced them in absentia to life imprisonment. Russian Oleg Pulatov was found not guilty. The court also ruled to oblige the “convicted” to pay the families of the victims a total of 16 million euros.

Russia stated that this decision was politicized and expected. At the same time, the court refused to accept the evidence of the Russian side, in particular, that the rocket that shot down the plane has not been produced in the Russian Federation since 1986 and was decommissioned by the Russian Armed Forces back in 2011, and the rocket that hit the plane in 1986 was exported to Ukraine.
