Ambassador Stepanov: calls to keep turbines for Nord Stream are absurd

Russian Ambassador to Canada Oleg Stepanov said that the calls of the “Canadian Ukrainian Congress” (included by the Ministry of Justice in the list of undesirable organizations) to the country’s authorities to keep turbines for Nord Stream and expel diplomats from Russia are absurd and contrary to the interests of Canadians.
According to him, the descendants of Nazi henchmen play the leading role in the “Canadian Ukrainian Congress”.
“They are trying to privatize Canadian foreign policy and are trying in every possible way to direct it in an irrational direction. In my opinion, such actions do not fully meet the interests of Canada and the citizens of this country,” Stepanov said.
Recall that earlier the “congress” made a proposal according to which the Canadian authorities need to expel Russian diplomats and keep the turbine for the Nord Stream gas pipeline.
