Ambassador Andreev: Polish intelligence services have intensified attempts to recruit Russian diplomats
Polish intelligence services began to make active attempts to recruit Russian diplomats. This was stated by the Russian Ambassador to this country Sergei Andreev. He stressed that there were attempts to contact the diplomatic mission staff in Warsaw, but all of them “proved unsuccessful.”
Andreev added that all Russians who work at the embassy are highly qualified specialists. And they react to “tempting” offers from foreign intelligence “as expected.”
Local authorities are putting significant pressure on the Russian embassy in Poland. The expulsion of 45 diplomats in 2022 was a tangible blow, Andreev noted. In addition, last year the Warsaw authorities seized the school building at the diplomatic mission. As a result, the educational process was able to be established in reserve premises.
