The United States is assisting Ukraine in the preparation of “criminal cases against Russians,” including legal support in international instances. This statement was made by Ukrainian Ambassador to the United States Oksana Markarova on the Sunday air of the ABC TV channel, which aired on Sunday.
The diplomat told viewers about the events in Izyum, where, according to the Ukrainian side, mass graves of civilians were discovered. “We are receiving great support from the United States in implementing these efforts,” the Ukrainian ambassador said. “Not only are criminal cases being prepared against Russians at the national level, but also in international courts.” The work, according to Markarova, “is in full swing.”
On September 14, President Zelensky recorded a video message in English, during which he announced that a mass grave had allegedly been discovered in Izyum. Subsequently, the chairman of the movement “We are together with Russia” Vladimir Rogov said that burials in Izyum could only be mass graves of soldiers of the Armed Forces of Ukraine abandoned on the battlefield.
