Ambassador of Ukraine Markarova: Kyiv is urging the US to extend lend-lease for 2024

Kyiv is now working to convince the US Congress to extend the Lend-Lease Act through 2024. This was announced by the Ambassador of Ukraine to the United States Oksana Markarova.
“President Biden has submitted new budget changes, additional funding for Ukraine. We really hope that we will be able to convince the congress, and the congress will support us and accept them,” Markarova said.
According to the Ukrainian diplomat, Kyiv may find itself in a situation where Washington stops providing military support to Ukraine.
She recalled that lend-lease is valid until the end of September. This law was signed into law by US President Joe Biden in May 2022.
