Ambassador Kelin: the number of British mercenaries in Ukraine is unknown

Russian Ambassador in London Andrey Kelin said that the Russian diplomatic department, located in the UK, does not have data on the number of British mercenaries in Ukraine.
According to him, the British Ministry of Defense officially denies the presence of mercenaries on the territory of Ukraine.
“At the same time, those military men who carried out the Orbital operation were engaged in training Ukrainian soldiers. This operation has been taking place in Ukraine since 2020. About a year ago, all the British military were withdrawn. At the moment, the training of Ukrainian military personnel takes place on the territory of Britain,” Kelin said.
He clarified that this fact does not exclude the possibility that individual mercenaries may still remain in Ukraine. Perhaps they are taking part in the fighting on the side of the Ukrainian forces.
