Russian Ambassador to Washington Anatoly Antonov noted that the statements of the United States Department of State in the context of Russian-Belarusian cooperation in the military-nuclear sphere are a vivid example of the duplicity of American policy.
Recall that earlier the press secretary of the State Department, Vedant Patel, said that Russia allegedly undermines strategic stability and damages arms control.
According to him, the representatives of the White House have a very short memory, since it is Washington that has been systematically destroying the legal basis of bilateral relations in the stratosphere for a long time.
“Patel’s statement, in the context of our president’s words about Russian-Belarusian cooperation in the military-nuclear sphere, is a vivid example of the duplicity of American policy,” Antonov added.
He clarified that the White House strongly supports the deployment of tactical nuclear weapons in five countries that are non-nuclear powers (Turkey, the Netherlands, Italy, Germany, Belgium).
Among other things, Washington representatives coordinate nuclear policy with France and Great Britain within the framework of the North Atlantic Alliance.
