The American group owned by Patrick Drahi is seeking to sell Suddenlink for 20 billion dollars.
Suddenlink is for sale. Dexter Goei, the boss of Altice USA, confirmed this on the sidelines of the presentation of the group’s half-year results. Seven years after having acquired this cable operator for 9.1 billion dollars, Patrick Drahi would seek to resell it for 20 billion, according to Bloomberg. He has already received marks of interest from investors, mainly financial, said Dexter Goei.
The telecom tycoon, which also owns Altice Europe (SFR, BFM, RMC, etc.) is not turning the page on its American adventure. But he faces strong headwinds. The group was first hit hard by the rise in interest rates. Altice has made the permanent refinancing of its debt one of its trademarks.
