More than a third of vacancies (40%) in IT are for remote work. Such conclusions are contained in a joint study by HH.ru and the Technocracy company. An increase in the number of such vacancies has been observed since 2021–2022, when their share was 25%. In total, in September 2023, companies posted 76,000 vacancies in IT.
The trend was confirmed by SuperJob: the number of vacancies for IT specialists on a remote basis grew to 35% in October 2023 compared to October 2021, when they accounted for up to 22% (the company does not provide data for 2022, since the labor market experienced a transformation after the announcement of mobilization). The trend is also noted by the recruitment agency GeekSource, which specializes in the selection of IT specialists. More than half (54%) of IT specialists cite the lack of ability to work completely remotely as a reason for changing jobs, notes a GeekSource presentation.
