Alpine skiing competitions among young athletes started in Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk

In Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk, on the slope of Mount Parkovaya, the opening of the “Opening of the Season” regional competitions in alpine skiing and snowboarding took place. Young athletes were divided into two categories: U12 (10-11 years old) and U10 (8-9 years old). About it reports press service of the Government of the Sakhalin region.
More than 180 people from Kholmsk, Nevelsk, Gornozavodsk, Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk, and Vladivostok took part in the competition.
The guys competed in the giant slalom discipline. Participants aged 8 to 9 years old made one descent, and those who were older made two.
Previously “MK on Sakhalin” wrote, that the region hosted the event “Decade of Sports and Health – 2024”. It lasted several days.
