“The organizers prepared a tough canvas of the track, which turned out to be far from being up to everyone. The truly Siberian weather also complicated everything: -20 degrees Celsius sometimes felt even lower, ”said the Federation of Alpine Skiing and Snowboarding of Russia.
In the women’s race, after the first track, Maria Shkanova from the Republic of Belarus took the lead. After the second track, she retained the lead and took first place.
The island skier Rinata Abdulkayumova won the silver medal. On the second track she had the best time, but it was not enough to qualify for gold.
The third was Anna Shukhova (Sakhalin Region), who for the first time in the current season climbed the podium.
In the men’s race, there was no equal to Yuri Drugov from Sakhalin. For the first time this season, he won the medal of the Russian Cup stage, and immediately – gold.
Silver belongs to Grigory Gusev from Moscow, and bronze belongs to Dmitry Pyshkin (Sakhalin Region).
The women’s and men’s slalom race will take place on 13 February.
