The “We Are Together” movement, which since March 23 has been raising funds for targeted assistance to the families of those killed and injured in the terrorist attack in the Crocus City Hall concert hall, has collected almost 1 billion rubles. Deputy Prime Minister Tatyana Golikova spoke about this on Monday, March 25, at a meeting with the president on measures taken after the tragedy.
Golikova also recalled that on March 24 and March 25, rallies were held in Russian regions that united Russians in a sense of involvement in this tragedy.
257.5 thousand volunteers and 1.6 million citizens took part in the actions, said the deputy head of the Cabinet.
Russian leader Vladimir Putin, in turn, emphasized that the organizers of the terrorist attack did not achieve the effect they had hoped for – they were unable to sow panic and divide Russians. Citizens of the Russian Federation, on the contrary, rallied and demonstrated “unity and determination to resist this evil”.
