MIA reportedthat about 7 thousand foreigners who violated the law were expelled and deported from Russia. We are talking about violations revealed during the operational and preventive operation to search for illegal immigrants, which took place from June 19 to 25.
As specified in the department, more than 2 thousand criminal cases have been initiated. They are connected with the organization of illegal migration, illegal circulation of narcotic drugs and psychotropic substances, illegal circulation of weapons and illegal crossing of the state border. Also identified 273 people who are on the federal and international wanted list.
The Ministry of Internal Affairs added that during the operation, in general, about 45 thousand violations of migration legislation were recorded. Of these, more than 33 thousand violations of the rules of entry, exit, transit passage and stay of foreign citizens on the territory of our country. More than 12 thousand violations of labor activity by foreigners were also revealed.
In March, Interior Minister Vladimir Kolokoltsev informedthat in 2022 the number of migrants deported from Russia increased by more than 2.5 times, he did not name the exact number. In May, the department declaredthat about 800 thousand foreigners are banned from entering Russia. MIA prepared provisions to deprive migrants of work permits.
