On the territory of Crimea, almost 500 thousand residents of Crimea were left without electricity, advisor to the head of the republic Oleg Kryuchkov said in his telegram channel.

“166 10kV power transmission lines, 1185 transformer substations, 365 0.4 power lines, 498 thousand population were disconnected,” he said.

According to RIA Novosti, Chernomorsky, Saki, Belogorsk, Simferopol, Oktyabrsky, Bakhchisaray, Leninsky suffered the most from the disaster. Currently, 38 teams are eliminating the consequences.

Since Thursday, a storm warning has been in effect in Crimea; heavy rains with hurricane winds have been announced. As reported, trees were knocked down in the region and gas pipelines were damaged. The Saki-Evpatoria highway was blocked due to flooding, and the movement of trolleybuses along the Simferopol-Yalta route was stopped.

Monday, November 27, has been declared a day off in Crimea and Sevastopol.
