All-Russian speed skating competitions will be held in Olenegorsk. They will take place at the stadium of the Olympus sports school as part of the 64th Student Festival of the North, the regional Ministry of Sports said.
120 athletes from Karelia, Vologda, St. Petersburg and the Murmansk region plan to take part. Competitions will be held over individual distances, mixed relays, mass start and all-around. Boys and girls of different ages will compete: 9-11, 12-13, 14-15 and 16-17 years old.
The competition starts on March 14 at 16:00 with mixed relays. Athletes will compete for medals on March 15, 16 and 18 from 11:00. The award ceremony for the winners will take place on March 16 at 18:00, and on March 17 at 13:00.
It should be noted that the polar speed skating team made it to the Silver Skates finals. Previously “MK in Murmansk” wrotethat 14 teams competed for the title of winner.
