All-Russian competitions in rhythmic gymnastics started at the Ivanovo sports school

An unprecedented number of athletes – 900, arrived in the regional center for the All-Russian competition in rhythmic gymnastics.
They represent 35 Russian regions, 50 cities, including the DPR. These competitions have been held in our region for over ten years. Mayor Vladimir Sharypov delivered a welcoming speech at the opening. He expressed his gratitude to the organizers, in particular to the employees of the physical culture and sports public organization “Rus”, which celebrated its 25th anniversary.
More than 260 gymnasts participate in the competitions for the prizes of the Olympic champion Olga Glatsky and the All-Russian competitions “Sudarushka” in individual all-around, and about a hundred teams will compete in group exercises. The strongest gymnasts and teams that are part of the national team of the region and the country will perform from the Ivanovo region. It is worth noting that the gymnasts will compete in all age categories, from the third junior category to the program of masters of sports. The tournament will end on September 24th.
