All-Russian badminton competitions are held in the capital of Pomorye. Athletes from seven regions compete for victory on the basis of the Nord Arena sports development center.
The organizers of the IV All-Russian Badminton Competition “Northern Lights-2023” are the Ministry of Sports of Russia, the Government of the Arkhangelsk Region, the Regional Ministry of Sports, the All-Russian and Regional Badminton Federations.
The participants of the competition were welcomed by the Minister of Sports of the Arkhangelsk Region Alexei Aksenov. He stressed that the beginning of 2023 in Pomorie was marked by serious starts at the national level, including the All-Russian badminton competition “Northern Lights”.
Roman Klobukov, director of the State Autonomous Institution of the Arkhangelsk Region “Vodnik”, added that thanks to many years of constructive interaction between the institution and the Badminton Federation of the Arkhangelsk Region, the quality of organizing and holding all-Russian competitions in the capital of Pomorye is constantly improving and reaching a new level.
The Ministry of Sports of the Arkhangelsk Region recalled that the participants of the Northern Lights-2023 compete for medals in four age groups: among boys and girls under 13 years old, boys and girls under 15 years old, under 17 years old and under 19 years old. Winners will be determined in singles, doubles and mixed doubles. After the qualifying games, we are waiting for the semi-final meetings and finals of the best athletes of the tournament in all age groups and game categories, which will take place on January 20.
