The semi-finals of the “RPL Path” (upper bracket of the tournament) of the Russian Football Cup included CSKA, Zenit, Spartak and Baltika. The draw to determine the next pair of matches of the tournament will take place on March 15.
The last two matches, which determined the final composition of the semi-final participants, took place in Moscow on March 14. Spartak beat Orenburg with a score of 3:1 (the first match was 0:1). The meeting between Baltika and Lokomotiv ended with a score of 1:1, but after a penalty shootout the Kaliningrad club won with a score of 7:6 (the first match was 2:2).
In the “RPL Way”, teams will play two matches – home and away. The winner advances to the Russian Cup final. Losing teams will move to the lower bracket of the tournament – “Path of the Regions”. The clubs “Ural”, “Khimki”, “Akhmat”, “SKA-Khabarovsk”, “Dynamo”, “Lokomotiv”, as well as “Rostov” and “Orenburg” were also included there. The current holder of the Russian Cup is CSKA Moscow.
