All flights on August 30 have been canceled at the Pskov airport, Mikhail Vedernikov, governor of the Pskov region, said.
According to him, specialists will have to identify possible damage to the airport runway. He noted that according to preliminary estimates, there were no serious injuries.
“But at night it is difficult to verify this,” he wrote on his Telegram channel.
The governor also said that if there are no problems on Thursday, the airport will resume its normal operation.
Earlier it was reported that the Ministry of Defense at the Pskov airport reflects the attack of drones. Residents of Pskov reported that sounds similar to automatic bursts were heard from the airport, explosions and sirens were also heard, and a strong fire was observed.
The sky over Pskov and the surrounding regions was completely closed to aircraft. It was reported that as a result of an attack on the Pskov airfield, 4 Il-76 aircraft were damaged. Later it became known that the “Carpet” mode was introduced in the Tula region, as well as over part of the Moscow region, and later – at Moscow airports, in Ryazan and over part of the Kaluga region (Kaluga and Obninsk).
