The Israeli consul in Thailand was able to reach an agreement with the kingdom’s immigration authorities on the deportation to the Jewish state of all members of the rock group “Bi-2” detained in Thailand.

The band’s Telegram channel clarifies that the deported musicians have already flown from Thailand to Tel Aviv.

Earlier, the Thai immigration police emphasized that the arrest of members of the Bi-2 group did not have any political motives. Regarding the country of expulsion, holders of dual citizenship, according to the legislation of the Kingdom, have the right request optional deportation to any of the countries for which they have passports.

Spokesman of the Israeli Ministry of Foreign Affairs Lior Hayat emphasized that Yegor Bortnik, also known as Leva “Bi-2” (recognized in Russia as a foreign agent and included in the corresponding register) is the only one of the arrested members of the group who has only Israeli citizenship, so he exiled to the Jewish state.
