The Tasnim agency distributed a statement by the leader and spiritual leader of Iran, Ali Khamenei, in which he appealed to Islamic countries to sever relations with Israel.
“Islamic countries must at least temporarily cease all political relations with the Zionist regime,” the agency quotes Khamenei as saying.
In addition, he called for continued protests in support of the Palestinians.
Let us recall that earlier the spiritual leader of Iran called for stopping the export of oil and food to Israel.
To date, diplomatic relations with Israel have been severed by the Latin American countries Bolivia and Belize due to events in the Gaza Strip. And Jordan, Turkey, Chad, Bahrain, Chile, Honduras, Colombia, and South Africa decided to recall their ambassadors from Israel. At the same time, Israel itself recalled diplomats from some Middle Eastern countries for security reasons.
