On March 8, in Tolyatti, in the final match of the 1/8 finals of the Petrov Cup, AKM defeated Lada in overtime with a score of 2:1. The pucks were thrown by Alexander Kulagin and Artem Artemov.
Based on the results of seven meetings, the Tula hockey players secured access to the quarterfinals.
Governor Alexei Dyumin congratulated the team and fans.
“A new history of Tula hockey is being written before our eyes. Our team made it to the playoffs for the first time and defeated a strong opponent in the first stage. Today, the entire Tula region rejoices at the victory. But hockey players must go to new successes! Only forward and only victory!” – said Alexey Dyumin.
In the ¼ finals, AKM will face HC Rubin. The first matches will be held on March 11 and 12 in Tyumen. On March 15 and 16, hockey players will play in Tula.

Recall that another team of the AKM system – Mikhailov Academy, representing our region in the Youth Hockey League, made it to the Golden Division on March 5 through play-in matches. In the 1/8 finals, he will meet with the three-time winner of the Kharlamov Cup Loko.
