Alexander Moore believes that mass and children’s sports need to be developed in the Tyumen region

During a direct line with the governor, a question was asked from a football fan: “Will the government of the Tyumen region support FC Tyumen if it manages to reach the Premier League?”

Alexander Moor noted the success of the football players who show excellent results in the matches of the Football National League – FC Tyumen occupies fourth place in the standings.

“The transition to the Premier League involves a significant increase in the team’s budget. “I have already said and remain in my position – it is inappropriate to finance a high-level professional team only from the regional budget,” said Alexander Moor.

According to the governor, it is necessary to look for a sponsor who will be ready to take on these financial expenses together with the regional government.

“I believe that these funds would be better spent on the construction of new football fields, ice courts, and sports infrastructure for the development of mass and children’s sports,” the governor said.

Continuing the topic of sports, a question was asked about holding major ski competitions in the Tyumen region,

“In February, more than three hundred of the best skiers from all over Russia will come to us,” said the head of the region during a direct line and invited Tyumen residents and guests of the region to the “Pearl of Siberia” for the Spartakiad of the strongest in cross-country skiing.

“Everyone knows how powerful our skiers are, and what competition they have been and still are at international competitions, which have now turned into the Norwegian and Swedish championships. Apparently, the people who made such decisions like competitions without leaders. Let’s see whose race is more interesting. I am sure that the competition will be held at the highest organizational level, and the athletes will give us a bright, exciting spectacle,” noted Alexander Moor.
