Russian football player Alexander Kokorin moved from Fiorentina to Cypriot Aris. For this team, he will play on loan until the end of the season and, perhaps, for the first time in a long time, he will receive stable playing practice. In Italy, where Kokorin has been staying since January 2021, he was rarely allowed on the field, and he did not get into the application for the new season at all.

August 31 Italian Serie A club Fiorentina on their website informedthat the Russian forward of the team Alexander Kokorin will continue his career in Aris. For the Cypriot club, the 31-year-old striker will play on loan until the end of the season. Financial details of the agreement at Fiorentina were not disclosed.

Recall that Alexander Kokorin moved to Fiorentina in January 2021 from Spartak. His transition cost the Italians € 4.5 million. Kokorin was supposed to earn about the same amount until 2024 – that was how much his contract was calculated for. However, things did not go well with Kokorin in Florence.

In total, for Fiorentina, taking into account all tournaments, he played only 11 matches. Of these, only six are in the Italian championship. Moreover, the Russian has never been included in the starting lineup.

Fiorentina began to look for where to attach the player, offering him, as Corriere dello Sport reported, € 2 million for early termination of the contract. This proposal did not suit Kokorin. As a result, Fiorentina simply did not include the Russian in the team’s application for the season.

We add that the current estimated transfer value of Kokorin, according to Transfermarkt, is €800,000. In 2014, the still young striker was estimated at €14 million.
