– You are a real hero of the game – you scored the winning goal in a situation where the team was constantly catching up with the opponent in the score. What helped you in this matter?

– In general, in the last match we did not act as well and not as well as we can, but then we watched the video of the game, ourselves from the outside. And today, taking into account the mistakes, it was already better.

We played together, were positively disposed, due to this we managed to snatch the victory.

– Since mid-January, Avangard could not win in regular time, but what prevented them from winning so much before this meeting?

– Yes, there were a lot of overtimes. And in the team we discussed it. And today we were determined to win in the third period. Because the opponent plays especially powerfully in these segments.

– During the second and third periods, Avangard had only 9 shots, but at the same time they scored a lot. What is more here – your accuracy or the bad game of the SKA goalkeeper?

– It is clear that there is both. This is hockey, sometimes the goalkeeper helps out, and sometimes he is powerless. But in general, we try to throw as many shots on goal as possible. Hoping it will turn into quality.

– What are the main impressions from the opponent?

– This is a very strong team, they play great in attack. Doesn’t give you much time to hold the puck. Her defenders are very aggressive. It was a real challenge for us. Today we are glad that we won, precisely because of the way we acted. If we carry this into the playoffs, I think everything will be fine.

– When the opponent was already playing with empty nets, didn’t it hurt that the team failed to score in them?

– It is clear that you always want to score in such situations, but you need to take into account the fact that our players gave their best, not just blocked shots, but also tried in general. Yes, it was not possible to score in the empty ones, but this is not so important.

– When the coach took a time-out, how much did it help you survive in the end?

– Yes, a very important time-out, and it rather played a key role, our minority brigade was tired, spent a lot of time on the ice, there was a long shift. She needed to rest. So it was all on time.
