Saudi club An-Nasr have reacted to media reports that its new player Cristiano Ronaldo will be promoting Saudi Arabia’s bid to host the 2030 World Cup. An-Nasr noted that Ronaldo will focus on working with other players on the team “to help the club succeed”.

“Contrary to media reports, Cristiano Ronaldo’s contract does not entail an obligation to advance any bid for the World Cup,” the club said on Twitter.
