Al-Hadath: US and ‘another country’ involved in attack on Iranian plant

The US Air Force and another country, but not Israel, were involved in the strike of drones on a military facility in Iranian Isfahan, writes Al-Hadath, citing US sources.

Earlier today, the Iranian Ministry of Defense announced an “unsuccessful attack” by drones on one of the production facilities of the department in the city of Isfahan, which took place on the evening of January 28.

“One of them was shot down by an air defense system, while the other two fell into defensive traps and exploded,” the IRNA agency wrote, citing a statement from the agency. According to him, as a result of the drone attack, the roof of the workshop was damaged, and the attack did not lead to human casualties and equipment failure.

According to Al-Hadath, the strike was on Iran’s stockpile of ballistic missiles and the attack was “very serious”. According to The Jerusalem Post, it was directed against an arms depot and “achieved its goals despite the statements of Tehran.”

Al-Hadath sources also said the operation “sent a signal to Iran and Russia” that “the establishment of factories and the export of ballistic weapons will not be allowed.”
