The head of Crimea, Sergei Aksyonov, said that at the moment there are no risks for supplying Crimeans with drinking water.
According to him, after the cessation of the water supply of the Dnieper through the North Crimean Canal, only agricultural production may suffer.
Aksyonov specified that the water that entered the North Crimean Canal from the Kakhovka reservoir before the destruction of the Kakhovka hydroelectric power station would be enough for another three months.
“We used to live without water, which came from the North Crimean Canal. In turn, we understand that agriculture may suffer, for example, there will be problems with irrigation. There are no risks for domestic water supply and drinking water in Crimea,” the head of the region noted.
