The gym in the village of Solnechnaya Dolina near Sudak, which was asked to be renovated on President Putin’s direct line, will be ready in 2024, said the head of Crimea Sergei Aksenov.
According to him, this facility was transferred to municipal ownership on the initiative of local authorities. “It was planned to make project documentation next year. The fact that people did not know about these plans is the result of weak communication between local authorities, including village authorities, and citizens,” Mr. Aksenov wrote in his Telegram-channel.
He clarified that the renovation of the gym will be carried out using federal funds, since there are no free funds in the republican budget.
As reported by the ICR department for Crimea and Sevastopol, an inspection has already been organized for the negligence of authorized officials (Part 1 of Article 293 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation).
“We have been instructed to immediately contact the initiative group and go to the site to inspect the premises and verify all the arguments voiced,” the department’s press service clarified.
During a direct line from Russian President Vladimir Putin, young athletes from Crimea said in a video message that they were forced to train in the club’s gym, which had not been repaired for more than 40 years. According to the children, the floors in the room are rotten, the walls are covered with mold, there is no heating and the roof is leaking.
