Akhmat Grozny has found a new head coach who will replace Andrei Talalaev, who was unexpectedly fired a few days ago. They became Sergei Tashuev – a specialist with a specific biography. It includes work with more than a dozen clubs from different leagues and championships, but Tashuev did not have a chance to stay in any of them for a long time.

“Akhmat” announced on the appointment of Sergei Tashuev as head coach. He will replace Andrei Talalaev in this position. Talalaev’s resignation was perhaps the strangest among all seven coaching resignations that have already happened in the Russian Premier League (RPL) at the start of the current national championship. Several sources at once claim that he was fired during the break of the match of the ninth round, in which Akhmat lost on September 10 at home – 1: 3 – to Pari Nizhny Novgorod. At the same time, there were no obvious sporting reasons for a sharp break in relations with Talalaev. Akhmat, which after losing to Nizhny Novgorod won – 2:1 – Ural, is now in eighth place in the standings. Last season he finished seventh in the tournament.

Andrei Talalaev’s successor is a 63-year-old specialist with a very specific track record. Sergey Tashuev began his coaching career back in the 1990s, and at the end of the decade before last, he began to lead teams at a fairly high level.

His biography includes work with a huge number of clubs, including foreign ones – the Ukrainian Metallurg and the Belarusian Shakhtar. In total, there were more than a dozen of them. Among them there are even fairly well-known brands, but they were not trusted to Tashuev during their heyday. For example, he appeared in Krasnodar in 2009, when he was not only not included in the list of Premier League giants, but had not even dreamed of such a status yet: Krasnodar played in the FNL, the second division in terms of status. Tashuev was invited to Anji in 2014 in the exact opposite situation. Recently thundering in Europe, the project of the entrepreneur Suleiman Kerimov, which was joined by a number of football stars and which seemed to be aiming for colossal achievements, before the arrival of the coach, experienced a radical “reformatting”, expressed primarily in the reduction of funding and parting with the leaders, and flew to the FNL.

Another feature of the biography of Sergei Tashuev is even more curious. Personnel turnover is a common occurrence in domestic football, as are coaches who have adapted to constant movements, who understand that club managers have little credit for them and can say goodbye to them at any moment. But in this sense, Tashuev still stands out.

With none of the teams, no matter what resources they have, no matter what goals they set for themselves, Tashuev did not have a chance to work significantly – at least for a couple of months – more than a year.

Even Anji, despite the fact that Sergey Tashuev returned him to the elite, supported the tradition by appointing much more famous and titled Yuri Semin instead of him after a breakthrough.

The tradition also applies to the two clubs of the top Russian division, in which Tashuev worked. In 2011, he found himself in the catastrophic Spartak from Nalchik, but left it before the end of the championship, when it became obvious that he would not be able to stay in the Premier League. Four years later, history almost repeated itself in the Kuban. Sergey Tashuev, who was invited to keep her residence permit in the RPL, left his post without waiting for the outcome in the struggle for survival, which Krasnodar lost.
