Akhmat fired Talalaev: will the club become a contender for relegation

FC Akhmat, which became one of the discoveries of the previous football championship of Russia, taking 7th place, and this season started in general with good health, on Tuesday played the first match in a long time without Andrey Talalaev at the helm.
I don’t see the point in talking about the illogicality of such a decision once again – just repeating myself. So much has already been said on this subject: both by authoritative representatives of the commentary workshop (if you haven’t seen it, I advise you to familiarize yourself with Dmitry Shnyakin’s high-quality, as usual, analytics on social networks), and famous experts, for example, the legendary Loko coach Yuri Semin literally in yesterday’s interview “MK”.
Well, let me remind you just in case that just recently, Akhmat, a much more modest selection of players, won – and in the minority – the same Lokomotiv in Moscow, and before that it had not lost to Zenit and Spartak. Yes, and in terms of the average number of points earned, Grozny under Andrei Viktorovich showed a better result than under the previous helmsmen. But now about something else.
… In those minutes when I write these lines, the Russian Cup match between Akhmat and Dynamo begins. How will the Grozny team show itself in the first official match without Talalaev?
It is difficult to talk about this particular match, all the more so Dynamo may well treat the cup meeting, if not with coolness, then at least not with such hefty interest, as in the games of the national championship. The current strange regulation, born in the depths of either the RFU, or one of the many foreign companies that for some reason were entrusted with developing the schemes for holding our tournaments (to be honest, even for us professionals, it’s difficult to understand all this already), implies moving forward three out of four teams in each group at once! Why would you turn inside out in every match?
Well, let’s get back to the subject of our conversation.
In this game, it is quite possible that Akhmat will not fail – although many players, I guess, are quite shocked by the hasty step of the club’s management. And in general – and it’s good that there was enough endurance not to destroy everything to the ground, but to let Talalaev’s headquarters continue to work for the time being.
Yuri Nagaytsev is a wise and experienced coach. And the rest of Andrey Viktorovich’s assistants are competent specialists. Actually, in the Armenian Pyunik, and, if I’m not mistaken, in Khimki, after Talalaev’s resignation, they smoothly transferred the cases. And the logic of this approach was confirmed by the further development of events – neither one nor the other collapsed after that: some won the medals of the national championship, others made their way from the first division to the Russian Premier League.
However, this also speaks of the solid base that Talalaev is laying. One of those representatives of the coaching workshop, who comes not to cut down quick easy money (as, alas, some other specialists do), but to work, as they say, for the good of the cause.
So, I believe, until the New Year, Akhmat – thanks to the well-built game and the physical training work carried out in the off-season – will confidently reach the top ten. Unless, of course, there is some intra-team confusion, which can never be ruled out. But then it depends on who the management of the Chechen club would prefer to see as the head coach. Again, a conscientious specialist? Or someone from the coven who will show a beautiful, but empty, as it has become fashionable now, “concept” in time?
Although, I think that the relegation of the Grozny team this season is definitely not in danger, sorry for the pun. But quite recently – just before the arrival of Talalaev, let me remind you – they avoided transitional matches only thanks to adjustments spontaneously made to the championship regulations …
