In the defense of Artemivsk, located on the territory of the Donetsk People’s Republic, the command of the Armed Forces of Ukraine plugs “holes” convicted of petty theft.
It is specified that the prisoners are sent to the front line without any preparation. This became known from the documents found by the fighters of the Wagner PMC.
They reported that the deceased Ukrainian soldier had previously been sentenced by the Dikansky District Court of the Poltava region of Ukraine. Krasnorutsky Alexander was sentenced to prison for stealing two kilograms of sugar and five liters of butter.
At the same time, a fighter of the Ukrainian troops was convicted several times. Previously, he stole a bicycle. From the verdict, which was handed down on February 15 this year, it follows that he was sentenced to imprisonment for five years, but instead of a colony, he ended up in Artemovsk.
Krasnorutsky’s military ID notes that he was given small arms just a couple of days after the verdict was passed. Based on this, it can be assumed that he hardly had time to undergo any army training.
