Estonian Prime Minister Kaja Kallas said that Tallinn is not going to expel Ukrainian men of military age. She noted that this issue was discussed with Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky during his visit, The Kiev Independent writes.

Kallas emphasized that the expulsion of Ukrainians is excluded, since they are in Estonia legally.

“President Zelensky noted that there are people who are on the front line, and there are those who pay taxes in order to be able to finance soldiers on the battlefield,” Kallas said.

The European Union has provided temporary protection to refugees and therefore Estonia will not take expulsion action, Kallas said.

She also stressed that the task of returning the men lies on the shoulders of Ukraine, which must contact its citizens and convince them to return.
