After major renovations, the Yubileiny Sports Palace in Voronezh will be able to host the Tretyak Cup tournament

The last time Yubileiny hosted the Vladislav Tretyak Cup tournament was more than 10 years ago – in 2012.
The main renovation work of the Yubileiny Sports Palace is planned to be completed by the end of November this year. The renovation of the ice arena will make it possible to once again host the All-Russian youth hockey tournament “Vladislav Tretyak Cup” in April-May 2024.
– This year, 138 million rubles were allocated for the renovation of the sports palace. It is clear that this is not much for such a huge structure, so we plan to continue the renovation next year: there is a lot of work to be done inside the premises. Unfortunately, such major repairs have not been carried out since the construction of Yubileiny. Everything at the Sports Palace is quite outdated, but we will put everything in order,” said the mayor of Voronezh, Vadim Kstenin.
Let us remind you that Yubileiny was opened in 1986 and can accommodate up to 5 thousand people. Currently, the main purpose of the palace is to host sports competitions; all home matches of the Voronezh hockey team “Buran” are held there.
The ice arena is being thoroughly renovated – the facade is insulated, the perimeter of the first floor is glazed, the walls of the entrance area are repaired, new refrigeration equipment is installed, ice generators are replaced, and more than 20 locker rooms, shower rooms and toilets are renovated.
After the renovation of the facade, the sign “Yubileiny Ice Sports Palace” has already returned to the building.
