In 2023, Russian enterprises of the military-industrial complex (DIC) supplied the Aerospace Forces (VKS) with more than 100 new and refurbished aircraft, 150 helicopters and 3.5 thousand drones. This was announced by Deputy Minister of Defense Alexey Krivoruchko.
“More than 100 new and repaired aircraft have been delivered to the aerospace forces. In particular, operational-tactical aircraft, military transport aircraft and combat training aircraft, 150 helicopters,” said the Deputy Minister of Defense, speaking at the Unified Day of Acceptance of Military Products (quote from TASS).
According to Alexey Krivoruchko, in 2023, the VKS also received military spacecraft, launch vehicles of the Soyuz and Angara families, and upper stages. Ten new and repaired regimental and divisional sets of anti-aircraft missile systems and more than 400 thousand aircraft weapons and anti-aircraft guided missiles were also supplied, the Deputy Minister of Defense noted.
In 2023 Russia stopped supplies of weapons to states that supported sanctions and introduced re-export of weapons to third countries. The export of cartridges and cartridges from the country was also prohibited. Summing up the results of last year, Russian Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu statedthat defense industry enterprises managed to multiply the production of the most popular types of military equipment and weapons. Many enterprises, he said, have switched to round-the-clock operation.
