It is noted that last year the airline transported 25.2 million people to 159 destinations on its own flights. Compared to 2022, total passenger traffic increased by 22.8%. An increase of 85.2% was demonstrated by international air travel, domestic flights added 8.4%. Let us recall that at the end of last year, Russian President Vladimir Putin supported the extension of the airline’s “flat” fares until 2024.

The airline said that the greatest demand is for flights between Moscow and Sochi, between Moscow and Kaliningrad, and also between Moscow and Vladivostok. Total seat occupancy in 2023 reached 85.7%.

In February, the Russian President addressed participants in the aviation industry and urged them to maintain the momentum in civil aviation. “We, of course, need to maintain the momentum in aviation and ensure further confident development of this most important area of ​​modern transport,” the Russian leader said, adding that over the past year, domestic airlines carried 105 million passengers.
