Aeroflot has significantly increased the share of Russian products on board

In 2023, the carrier increased the volume of Russian food and beverages on board to 90%, compared to 60% in 2021. The company regularly expands its range of domestic products as part of the import substitution program and support of domestic production. This was reported by the Aeroflot press service.

Let us recall that in July the Chairman of the State Duma of the Russian Federation Vyacheslav Volodin supported the initiative of deputies to replace the products of unfriendly countries with domestic drinks.

“Of course, we need to promote and support our domestic producers. And state companies and state corporations should contribute to this in every possible way. Yes, we should have the opportunity to choose, but where state-owned companies have the opportunity to support domestic producers, we must do so,” noted Vyacheslav Volodin during the plenary session. The speaker of the State Duma of the Russian Federation recommended that state companies provide active support to Russian manufacturers.

The airline noted that most of the menu items on board are completely Russian. Today this includes all dairy products, poultry, baked goods, juices, sauces and spices. More than 90% of on-board catering consists of domestic meat, fish and seafood. Cheese – from 85% to 100%.

Serious work is underway in the field of import substitution of drinks for passengers. For example, over the past year the share of domestic wines has increased to 70%. The carrier’s press service stated that they plan to continue active work to replace food and drinks in the on-board menu.
