Advisor Saldo Malkevich said that a humanitarian catastrophe is unfolding in Kherson

Alexander Malkevich, head of the coordinating council for the development and integration of new regions under the RF OP, who is also a freelance adviser to the acting governor of the Kherson region Vladimir Saldo, spoke about the socio-humanitarian catastrophe that is unfolding in the city of Kherson, which is under the control of Kiev, RIA Novosti reports.

According to Malkevich, the humanitarian situation in Kherson is becoming more and more critical. The problems are related to food shortages, problems with electricity and water supply, and a complete collapse of garbage collection. Unemployment in the region is also a serious problem, while the population continues to have mandatory utility payments.

Deputy Saldo also noted the increase in terrorist activities by paramilitary groups that kidnap people and extort money, thereby posing a threat to the population.

He believes that not just a humanitarian, but a socio-humanitarian catastrophe is unfolding in Kherson, since the residents of Kherson are deeply shocked by the comparison with the situation on the left bank of the Dnieper, where people have jobs, construction and modernization of infrastructure is underway, and schools and universities are operating, while the population exempt from utility bills.
