People’s Artist of Russia Vera Alentova became ill at the farewell ceremony for Alexander Shirvindt; she could barely stand on her feet. Utro.ru reports this.

The 82-year-old actress was supported by her daughter Yulia Menshova. She sat her mother down on a chair next to Shirvindt’s relatives. Alentova cried all the time.

At the ceremony Alentova also named herself as Shirvindt’s “second wife”.

Alexander Shirvindt died on March 15 at the age of 89. He was known for his roles in the films “Three in a Boat and a Dog,” “The Irony of Fate” and others. Also, since 2000, he served first as artistic director and then as president of the Satire Theater.
