People’s Artist of Russia Yuri Nazarov was injured at the Polezhaevskaya metro station in Moscow. The 86-year-old actor fell badly and was urgently hospitalized with a leg injury. Actor Yuri Nazarov was born on May 5, 1937 in Novosibirsk. He graduated from the B. Shchukin Theater School in 1960 and in the same year became an actor in the Lenin Komsomol Theater in Moscow. Since 1963, he joined the troupe of the Theater-Studio of the film actor. Nazarov starred in more than 300 films and TV series. Most of his works are supporting roles, but with a pronounced character. He made his film debut in 1954. About one of his most famous roles – Sergeant Ukhanov in “Hot Snow”, based on the novel by Yuri Bondarev – Nazarov says that he hardly made anyone happy with this role, because such soldiers are in every Russian family. And Nazarov considers his participation in the film “Andrey Rublev” his most iconic film, in which he played two roles at once.
