State agency TASS citing a law enforcement source, it was reported that Yegor Tyukin, accused of treason, was a sailor in the Baltic Fleet. About the case against the man became known on 28 August.
“Egor Sergeevich Tyukin, a private soldier of the Baltic Fleet, is accused of high treason. His criminal case has already been transferred to the military court for consideration,” the agency was told.

According to the Telegram channel “Beware the News”, Yegor Tyukin is 27 years old. He began serving in the Northern Fleet in 2021 after graduating from university. According to the channel, the case may be related to a terrorist attack on a ship of the Black Sea Fleet. The FSB reported on the prevention of the terrorist attack in July 2023.
Mediazona (recognized as a foreign agent) wrote that Tyukin studied at a school in Arkhangelsk, and then entered the Lomonosov Northern Federal University with a degree in pharmacy and medical biochemistry.
