In Moscow, the auction for the sale of an elite apartment of the former Minister for Open Government Mikhail Abyzov has been resumed.
The apartment with an area of 312 square meters is located in Khamovniki at 1st Obydensky Lane, Building 5. The initial price set for it is almost 412 million rubles.
Further, the increase in the auction will go in increments of 4 million rubles. The auction will take place on April 19th.
Abyzov coordinated the work of the Open Government in 2012-2018.
In March 2019, he was arrested. The ex-minister and 11 other people are accused of creating a criminal community using his official position, illegal participation in business, large-scale fraud and money laundering.
The property of the accused, worth over 37 billion rubles, was seized. Part of it was handed over for sale in March 2022. Among other things, Abyzov’s apartment in Khamovniki was supposed to be put up for auction, but he challenged the assessment of its value in court. In March 2023, the Judicial Collegium of the Moscow City Court refused to satisfy the demands to cancel the results of the assessment of the confiscated property.
