A Competence Center specializing in the maintenance of Abrams tanks will be opened in the Polish city of Poznan. The agreement on the establishment of the center was signed by representatives of the Polish defense concern PZG and tank manufacturer General Dynamics Land Systems.
The agreement is directly related to the decision of Polish Defense Minister Mariusz Blaszczak to purchase Abrams tanks for the Polish army.
The purpose of the center will be to provide a wide range of tank maintenance services in order to meet the future needs of the Polish armed forces in this area.
In the long term, the center will also be used by US forces stationed in Poland and other European countries, according to the statement.
