An open karate tournament dedicated to the memory of the famous Serpukhov coach Nikolai Titov was held at the Rossiya Palace of Culture. About 100 athletes from Serpukhov and Tula competed for the title of the best in the disciplines “Koshiki Karate” and “Limited Contact”.
Among the athletes were both novice fighters and renowned veterans. According to many, this tournament has become a good test of moral and volitional qualities and skills for them.
– I am six years old and have been doing karate for two years. I like this sport because it is interesting here, I have made new friends. This is my first competition, so I will try very hard to do everything to take first place, – said Yakov Pudov, a participant in the tournament.
The main goal of the tournament is to attract the attention of the younger generation to a healthy lifestyle and sports.
Recall that Nikolai Titov worked as a coach for a long time, led the sports and patriotic club named after. Margelov at secondary school No. 17. He passed away in 2016. His contribution to the development of karate and all sports in Serpukhov is enormous.
